Fibrenew Manhattan Central (New York City) Customer Reviews
“I had such a great experience with this company. They do something that's hard to find. They repair and redye leather furniture rather than spending a fortune reupholstering it. I used their Manhattan branch which is basically a one-man operation--he comes to give you an estimate and then he's the one who does the repair. He was a real craftsman--very experienced and "old school." He was also honest about which of my pieces it would be worth the price to fix, and he's an expert on the different kinds of leather and what you can and cannot do. He actually told me that the loveseat I bought ages ago at Crate & Barrel I should just give up on. But he made my Eames lounge chair look amazing. He erased my cat's many scratches and even touched up some chips in the wood. I doubt he's the cheapest, but his price was fair and the work was meticulous. It cost far far less than reupholstering or replacing. Just to be clear: I can't give an opinion about all of their branches, but the guy in Manhattan is awesome!
Thanks for the kind words, Lindsey! I have attached a before/after of the Eames ottoman repair.”
