Meet Jason McDowell: The passionate owner behind Fibrenew West Des Moines

Jason McDowell, the owner of Fibrenew West Des Moines, has built a thriving business on the principles of customer service, quality workmanship, and sustainability. Since opening in 2019 his business has become a reliable local solution for leather, plastic, and vinyl repair across both residential and commercial settings. Under Jason’s leadership, Fibrenew West Des Moines has become known for its reliable craftsmanship, timely service, and personalized approach.

From fixing computers to fixing couches?

Before opening Fibrenew West Des Moines, Jason developed a strong background in IT maintenance and customer service. His career path included 18 years of experience providing service for a wide variety of mission critical systems used by frontline staff for a national drugstore chain. This blend of skills has equipped him with a unique perspective on providing both outstanding customer service and a commitment to delivering high-quality repairs. Jason’s vision for Fibrenew West Des Moines is rooted in the value of repair over replacement. 

Family and faith. 

Jason, along with his wife, Carrie, and their three children live in Adel, IA. Adding to the warmth of their home is their beloved cavachon, Oakley. The McDowell’s value family connections, often spending quality time with their nearby relatives. Serving as an Elder at Faith Lutheran Church in Adel, Jason is also actively involved in his community and faith.

Sabrina is here to help!

Jason’s assistant Sabrina is the friendly voice who will help gather information about your project. She also handles scheduling and other behind the scenes tasks to keep Fibrenew West Des Moines operating smoothly! Sabrina joined the Fibrenew family in 2021 and spent time as a technician before moving to her current role, so she has a deep knowledge of all things Fibrenew. Sabrina is a dog lover and has spent time as both a professional dog trainer and breeder in the past. She lives in eastern Iowa with her husband Ross their two dogs.
